Passion for your house has consumed me, and the insults of those who insult you have fallen on me.

Consider him who endured from sinners such hostility against himself, so that you may not grow weary or fainthearted.

Words can bring death or life! Talk too much, and you will eat everything you say.

The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives.

After looking things over I stood up and spoke to the nobles, officials, and everyone else: “Don’t be afraid of them. Put your minds on the Master, great and awesome, and then fight for your brothers, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your homes.”

They were trying to intimidate us into quitting. They thought, “They’ll give up; they’ll never finish it.” I prayed, “Give me strength.” Nehemiah 6:9 (MSG)

And he told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not lose heart.

The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working].

Brothers and sisters, don’t ever grow weary in doing what is right.
