KEEP GOING BACK TO THE MIRROR

May 22, 2022

“The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.” Matthew 6:22 (KJV)

The more you focus on failure, the more failure you experience. But when you focus on who God says you are as a believer, your attitudes and actions begin to line up with that true identity.

So, who are you? You’re not just a name. You’re not just someone’s son or daughter, mother or father. You are not defined by your occupation. Only the Bible can tell you who you really are, which is why the Word of God is compared to a mirror. If you’ll focus on the mirror of God’s Word, it will reflect to you who you really are in Christ.

God’s Word says that you can run through a troop and leap over a wall. You ride upon the high places of the earth. No weapon formed against you prospers. You are blessed coming in and blessed going out. You’re blessed in the city and blessed in the field. You are born of God. Holy Spirit speaks, leads, and guides you. You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.

People often think that I must be really stressed-out from running four organizations and leading hundreds of staff. But I know who I am in Christ. I have the peace that surpasses all understanding and joy unspeakable—and so do you. Recognize that when God calls you to something, He empowers you to do it!

Get focused on who you are in Christ! Your whole body will become filled with the light of that revelation. You’ll begin to experience God’s power and ability working within you.
