SOME MIRACLES TAKE TIME

March 26, 2023

Jesus put his hands over the man’s eyes a second time and made him look up. The man opened his eyes wide and he could see everything perfectly. His eyesight was completely restored! Mark 8:25 (TPT)

Miracles often involve a process. Yet many people think that if they don’t receive instant healing, it is not God’s will for them.

However, the Bible provides an example of a miracle that wasn’t instantaneous—even though it was God’s will to heal. In Mark 8, a blind man was brought before Jesus for healing. Jesus touched the man’s eyes, then asked if he could see. The man replied, “Yes, but all the people look like trees.” So Jesus reached over and touched his eyes a second time and completed the man’s miracle.

The truth is, God’s Word talks about miracles that involve timeframes. Mark 16:18 (NKJV) says to “lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” Recovery indicates a certain amount of time. In fact, almost all of Jesus’ parables were time-sensitive. He used agricultural examples like seeds to show time is the necessary factor between sowing and reaping a harvest (Mark 4:26–29).

It requires strength and stubbornness to walk through things that take time. That’s why you need to stay in the Word. If you’re believing God for something, and nothing is changing yet—don’t give up.

Speak God’s Word and His promises aloud. Continue to fill yourself with His Word and rely on His wisdom. Surround yourself with like-minded believers who will stand in stubborn faith with you. Tap into a life-giving church and be encouraged. Keep praying and believing the best—sometimes, time is all that’s needed!
