YOUR SECRET ABILITY

Then God said, “Let us make human beings in our image, to be like us. They will reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, the livestock, all the wild animals on the earth, and the small animals that scurry along the ground.” Genesis 1:26 (NLT)

When God made our world, something set the human race apart from the rest of creation. The elephant had more strength, the lion had sharper teeth and the horse had more speed—but what in the world did Adam have?

He and Eve had an ability that went beyond the physical realm. God created them in His own likeness and designed them with the capacity to operate in the spirit realm. They could speak and move with a spiritual authority that dominated the physical.

When mankind fell because of Adam and Eve’s sin, we lost this ability. But now because of Jesus, when you believe, you’re born again and this ability is restored to you. But you need to learn how to use it. God’s Word teaches us good principles for relationships, health and success. Those are all crucial—but the Word also teaches us how to walk in God’s supernatural power.

Jesus told His disciples, “Anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father” (John 14:12, NLT). This is your “secret” ability as a believer—the ability to operate in the spiritual realm and see the miraculous take place.

As you get into God’s Word, you’ll come to recognize you are created by God, crafted in His image and equipped with His power. No other ability on Earth can even come close to what you are designed to do!
