DO YOU FEEL UNSURE OF GOD’S WILL?

March 31, 2023

Jesus reached out and touched him. “I am willing,” he said. “Be healed!” And instantly the leprosy disappeared. Matthew 8:3 (NLT)

It is God’s will to heal and perform miracles. However, some believers think, “I prayed. I asked. I gave God five minutes to do it, and it didn’t happen, so it’s not His will.” Unfortunately, that is an inaccurate doctrine.

I remember walking through a situation with a close friend who was hanging on for his life and believing for healing. It took a year or two for his miracle to complete. However, I’ve seen other miracles happen in five minutes.

First of all, we need to recognize God’s will is not confined to our experiences. Here’s a good example of what that means. Is it God’s will for everyone to make Heaven? Yes. John 3:16 says God doesn’t want anyone to perish but to enjoy eternity in Heaven with Him. But just because it’s God’s will does not mean it’s happening. Why? Well, numerous factors are in play, such as an enemy and our free will.

So here’s how I’ve made it through the situations I’ve faced: I made a firm decision that I can count on God’s promises, even if things plateau or are not happening the way I am believing Him for. That mindset brings an incredible infusion of strength, joy and peace!

God is rooting for you as you walk through challenging situations. Keep hanging on to a stubborn faith that believes all the promises are yours through Him, even if you don’t see instant results.

When it comes to God, simply recognize it’s His will to heal and do miracles. Knowing that will help you walk more confidently through whatever you face!
