Do you have visions for your life?
We are incredible beings designed to envision and pursue the direction we want to go. When we don’t, we become like Daytona 500 race cars idling around a mall parking lot. God has created us to go places in life, but we need to envision our goal and then start driving toward it.
For example, if you don’t read the Bible often, it’s likely because you haven’t planned for it. You need to develop a vision of what you want to do and then move toward it.
Maybe you’ve been thinking, “I feel I need to renew my mind.” So, find yourself some books and listen to some podcasts on renewing the mind. Say to yourself, “This is my job for the next three months,” and then follow through. Without any visions for our lives, we can begin to feel lethargic and dissatisfied with life. That’s because God did not design us to sit around in comfortable ruts, doing nothing.
Think about this: do you think Heaven is full of bored people lying around on clouds and eating fruit cups for eternity? No way. Wait until we get to Heaven, and God says, “Hey, let me show you my next plan!” Can you imagine the phenomenal ideas God will unveil? We’ll be pumped beyond belief, excited to put our incredible spirits and God-given talents to use. We have no idea yet what God has up His sleeve—but I guarantee He already has a vision for it!
What about you? God created you as a powerful, creative being meant to do something with your life for Him. Take time to develop a vision and make some plans!
