WALK AND TALK WITH HOLY SPIRIT

April 13, 2023

The amazing grace of the Master, Jesus Christ, the extravagant love of God, the intimate friendship of the Holy Spirit, be with all of you. 2 Corinthians 13:14 (MSG)

When Jesus was with His disciples, they walked together, ate together and lived their lives together. They were connected. This is the type of relationship that the word “fellowship” describes. Fellowship is so much more than a shallow relationship between acquaintances.

When Paul prayed for the Corinthian church, he prayed that the “fellowship of the Holy Spirit” would be with them all (2 Corinthians 13:14, NLT). It’s interesting that he chose to say the fellowship of Holy Spirit, not the fellowship of God or Jesus. Although the three are one, I believe that he did this for a reason.

When Adam and Eve lived in the Garden of Eden, God walked and talked with them. Later, Jesus walked and talked with His disciples. But after the Day of Pentecost, we hear only of Holy Spirit’s work on the planet. Today Holy Spirit fellowships with mankind—and He does this from within us.

Holy Spirit is with you all the time, but you need to decide if you will walk and talk with Him every day. As you are reading the Bible, imagine He is standing beside you with His arm on your shoulder, saying, “Okay, let me show you what this means.” When you’re listening to a message, ask Him to show you what you need to know, and He will subtly but beautifully bring certain parts of what is being said to your attention.

The key to becoming more like Jesus is fellowshipping with Holy Spirit. Live your life connected to Him at all times!
