Christmas is all about love. God loved you so much that He gave His only Son, and that love could be flooding into your life right now. Think of the power of a rushing river that can move massive trees and boulders, and let it change the way you think about God’s love.
You see, when you believe and receive God’s love, nothing can stop it from flooding into your life! You may not always feel this love, but God’s love for you is not about feelings. It’s great to tap into God’s love in an emotional way, but His love is always available, ready to firehose blast into your life, and feelings have nothing to do with it.
You can choose to know this love practically through experience, not just through feelings. It’s a love you can experience with every breath you take in this gift called life. You come face-to-face with it when you realize His forgiveness will always be available to you for every mess-up. It’s a love you encounter all throughout God’s Word and in the way God guides and leads you in life.
It’s incredible what happens as you become more aware of this flood of love that’s available to you—you begin to move away from unhealthy sources of love. You stop going after counterfeit love when you realize that the real thing is available right in front of you, behind you, in you and overflowing all around you.
This Christmas, receive the unstoppable flood of God’s love. Then let it empower you to share that love everywhere you go.
