Success Tests if You Know Who You Really AreYet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. Romans 8:37 (NKJV)
The more success you achieve, the more judgement you’ll face.
Think about it. As you become more successful in your life, you will come under scrutiny. Success draws attention. People will examine you more closely and you’re bound to have a few critics. If you’re not secure in who you are, this can be devastating. In fact, you might even begin to see yourself through their judgement if you’re not careful.
It is crucial that you know who you are in Christ. You need to see yourself as God sees you to be able to do what God wants you to do. Actually, you have to deal with how you see yourself every time you enter a new season or level in life. If you don’t see yourself differently, you won’t transition.
For example, let’s say you’re working for a company. You have no trouble seeing yourself as successful in your current position, but when you get the opportunity to buy the business, things are different. You need to change how you see yourself. You have to start seeing yourself as a great business owner or you won’t succeed.
People love to criticize leaders, so you’ll have to fight feelings of inadequacy as you gain success. You’ll need to constantly remind yourself that you can do what needs to be done… because you are more than a conqueror in Jesus.
Every day, remember that Jesus gives you the power to succeed. Then you will be able to see yourself as successful no matter what comes your way because His strength never fails.
