Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down... And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. Hebrews 12:1 (NLT)
Did you know that you have an audience? Hebrews tells us that every believer who has gone before us is in the stands of Heaven, watching us play the most important “game” there is. What we do with our lives down here on this planet has eternal significance.
God knew you would be in this place at this time. He gave you a set of gifts and abilities, and He planned out good deeds for you to do (Ephesians 2:10). He doesn’t control you or force you down His path, but He made available everything you need to lead the best life—a life that builds His Kingdom. There are things you can do and people you can reach that nobody else can.
You know, I’ve never seen people more open to the things of God than right now. As I speak with men and women around the world, I meet so many who are hungry for God. Everything they knew has been shaken. They have seen evil in this world, and it’s opening their eyes to see that there must be a God too. First Peter 3:15 (NKJV) says to “always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you.”
It’s time to prepare for greater impact. Get ready to touch lives and see the miraculous. When the pressure is on, remember that you’re playing for the Kingdom. Rise up with courage because the best days are ahead!
