KNOW YOUR STRENGTHS

You have God-given gifts and abilities. Are you discovering them and putting them to use?

God has wired you a certain way for a purpose. He doesn’t expect you to be good at everything or attempt to please everyone. Philippians 4:13 says that you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you, meaning He strengthens you to handle each challenge and do what He has called you to do. It doesn’t say that you can run around doing everything under the sun and He’ll strengthen you in it all.

The question is: what is Christ strengthening you to do?

As you pursue a relationship with your Father God, you will discover your destiny—what you were called to do. Serving Him reveals natural gifts within you that you may not have known were there.

When I was in high school, I trained for the Olympics in track and field and I was pretty good at it. I started to believe that it was what I was created to do. Over time, however, I discovered a few more gifts within me. You also have multiple gifts within you. Your short 90-120 years on earth won’t provide enough time for you to discover them all.

Keep serving Christ and you will be surprised to discover all He has placed within you. If there are things He wants you to do, you’ll know. You won’t be satisfied until you are doing them. And as you operate in the gifts He’s given you, you’ll find the greatest sense of freedom, purpose and joy.
