Some believers think that the Christian life is supposed to be hard to endure. It’s not true.
Our verse today doesn’t say that Jesus’ yoke is heavy and burdensome; it’s easy and light! It may be unbearable if you’re just relying on your own strength, but there’s a spiritual power you can always have as a believer that is absolutely beautiful. Actually, learning to draw from God’s strength is one very important key to having a great life.
You see, everyone needs to draw from God’s strength to have God-outcomes in their life. You can’t build the amazing family life God has for you using just your own intelligence and energy. You also can’t get your business or career to where God could take you using just your own leadership abilities and emotional strength.
Although it’s always important to grow in knowledge and skill in every area of life, you also need God’s guidance and spiritual energy to walk out the full extent of His amazing plans for you.
The good news is that it’s not difficult to stay tuned in to God’s strength. Actually, it’s always in you! When you gave your life to Christ, you gained access to this unlimited strength and power… you just need to spend time in God’s presence and cultivate an awareness of what is already yours.
Take a minute right now to become aware of God’s presence. Worship Him for who He is, praise Him for all He’s done, and draw from the strength He has for you to power your everyday life.
