Even though I am a free man with no master, I have become a slave to all people to bring many to Christ. 1 Corinthians 9:19 (NLT)
As believers, our lives here on Earth should serve to help grow God’s Kingdom in some way.
It may sound a little harsh, but we are foolish if we only use our skills and resources for ourselves and not to connect people to the God who loves them.
Now, Satan wants us to think that we will offend people if we share our personal testimony or invite them to church. But I’ve discovered if you do it lovingly and tactfully, without condescension, people appreciate the invitation and love hearing about what has changed your life!
Maybe you’re thinking, “I’m a busy mom. I don’t have time.” Moms have incredible opportunities to build bridges with neighbours. You can influence other moms and even their own families. You don’t need to put aside special time for it; ministry happens as life happens.
Perhaps you’re thinking, “I’m an influential businessman. I can’t use my job to spread the Gospel.” Yes, you can. You have favour to use for Kingdom purposes. God hasn’t given you that gift just to be the best salesman or owner in the business. It’s to model leadership in a classy way, so people are attracted to the fruit of the Spirit in your life and want it too.
There are millions in the valley of decision who do not know Christ. Who knows what a single conversation, encouraging word or gesture of kindness could do to change their heart for eternity?
Don’t be afraid to look beyond yourself and use what God has given you to put Him together with His family.
