HOW TO PRAY FROM A POSITION OF STRENGTH

December 18, 2022

“Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.” Mark 11:24 (NKJV)

Contrary to popular belief, God can't burst on the scene and do whatever He wants. Why? Because He gave authority to the human race. That's why prayer is so crucial. When we pray, we allow God to work through us to accomplish His will on the planet.

When it comes to prayer, the devil's number one tactic is to keep you from believing and accessing what's already yours. He wants you to think you must beg a reluctant God or work hard and make everything happen yourself. Either way, if you don't believe you have access to an incredible inheritance, you'll continue to pray from a position of weakness.

But under the new covenant, we pray from a position of strength and ownership. It's about knowing and declaring who you are and the inheritance you have because of Jesus. Until you believe this, it's easy to fall into the enemy's deceptions. When you're deceived, you step into fear. And because fear is not based on truth, it causes you to make wrong decisions.

No matter what takes place in your life, it's crucial to make sure you know and believe the truth. For example, if your spouse loves you immensely but you don't believe it, you won't experience it and the relationship won't grow.

The same is true for God's Word. Marinate in it every day and let it change the way you believe. Realize that regardless of any negative occurrences, you've already inherited every promise through Jesus. Heaven has decided—it's yours. Start declaring it! The power of God begins to flow when you speak His Word over a situation.
