When I was a paramedic, I had to learn how to walk onto the scene of horrible accidents and not freak out. Surrounded by pain and death, it was all too easy to make wrong decisions that would cost lives. But I learned that if I could clear my head, I would make right decisions even under immense pressure.
In your life, when circumstances are screaming at you, the enemy wants you to believe lies. He wants you to say, "This situation will destroy me. My health is gone. My emotions are destroyed. This will never get better." But if your heart and mind are anchored in the truth, you can go into any situation and put out fires in the name of Jesus.
You can make wise decisions under pressure, even when others are running around like Chicken Little. You can declare the favour of God and counteract the lies of the enemy. Remember, prayer is not you trying to produce a miracle. It's not you fighting demons or convincing God to move. Prayer is enforcing what Calvary has already done!
As you absorb the truth of God's Word, you'll rise up and overcome any evil occurrence the enemy tries to throw your way. And you will usher in the good occurrences God wants to bring you. You'll be able to say, "Wow, I didn't even ask for that blessing! Thank You, God!"
