GOD’S BEST IS YOUR NEW NORMAL

March 1, 2023

So also faith, if it does not have works (deeds and actions of obedience to back it up), by itself is destitute of power (inoperative, dead). James 2:17 (AMPC)

When someone competes in martial arts competitions, they get used to fighting. They might still get nervous, but they accept the challenge willingly. This is the attitude we all need to develop when it comes to fighting for the kind of life God says we can have.

Life will always involve fighting for what you want, but this doesn’t have to be overwhelming. When a fight comes your way, your reaction can be, “No problem. I’ll win this one too. I’m confident because Jesus made me more than a conqueror. I will win! I will succeed because I have Christ inside of me.”

This fight to live out God’s best for your life will require courage and action. After all, faith without works is dead. But once you decide you’re going for it, God’s power is right there within you, empowering you to do it. Even if circumstances knock you off your feet, you’re empowered to get back up. God’s super-ability is added to your natural ability to help you move forward, and it’s a beautiful thing.

God has promised you great things, so when an area of your life doesn’t line up with His best, keep fighting to believe. Refuse to accept a substandard idea of what’s normal for your life. Refuse to accept less than God’s best!

You are empowered to rise up and fulfill your destiny. God has great things in store for you. He has planned an incredible life for you, so don’t stop fighting to believe until God’s best becomes your new normal.
