GO GREATER: PREPARE FOR IMPACT

February 22, 2023

Enlarge your house. You are going to need a bigger place; don’t underestimate the amount of room that you’ll need. So build, build, build. You will increase in every direction to fill the world. Your offspring will take over the nations; your people will revitalize long-abandoned towns. Isaiah 54:2–3 (VOICE)

Over the next few days, I want to share five principles to help you go greater with God.

First, you need to prepare for a greater impact with your life. Get ready to have a bigger impact on your family, neighbours and city. Picture making a difference in your career and relationship circles.

Isaiah 54 talks about enlarging the place of your tent and preparing for increase. This scripture is prophetic about the church, but it’s also about your life. Our world is looking for hope, and they need to see Jesus in you. When we begin to pursue God’s purposes first, our lives make an incredible impact on His Kingdom.

Don’t let the largeness of this vision scare you. Just get up and start moving. God is attracted to movement, and even if you’re heading in the wrong direction, He can redirect you.

As a young pastor, I would get frustrated by the plans I made that never panned out. We would start planning something, and all of a sudden God would open a door we never expected. But here’s the thing. He always made our plans bigger and better. He put us in the right place at the right time. This season taught me to always be planning and preparing—which involves developing a vision. At the same time, I needed to be open to His redirection.

How can you prepare to have a greater impact on those around you?
