Moses was taught all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and he was powerful in both speech and action. Acts 7:22 (NLT)
There’s a reason God wants us to go greater in life—and that’s to build His Kingdom. How do we do that? I’ve found that a Spirit Contemporary approach helps me to go out into the world and be salt and light.
Being Spirit Contemporary simply means you can walk in God’s power and have a life filled with miracles, signs and wonders. At the same time, you can attract the people around you to Jesus in a natural way.
Some pastors tell me, “The anointing is so strong in my church that most people leave because they can't handle it.” But when I look at the life of Jesus, the only people He turned off were the religious ones. Crowds wanted to follow Jesus. The world loved Him!
It's important to learn the culture of the people we’re called to reach. Take a look at Moses. Before he led God’s people, he spent 40 years training—not in the courts of God but in the courts of the pharaoh. He was equipped with cultural wisdom and understanding.
Daniel is another great example. When he and his friends entered the king’s service, the king found them to be ten times more capable than all of the magicians in his whole kingdom (Daniel 1:18-20). Daniel and his friends knew Scripture, but they were able to use it in a non-religious context.
Wherever you go, continue to grow in the Word. But don’t forget to relate to others in a Spirit Contemporary way. Learn, grow and develop your skills to bring value every place you go. You can make an eternal impact on the Kingdom of God!
